Storytelling with Purpose: What Comes Next
July 2025
Why stories?
Because stories shape everything: from the movements we support to the people we fear. They make ideas legible, emotional, and real. At their best, stories can challenge power, build solidarity, and shift culture. At their worst, they can sow fear and division.
That’s why storytelling is so much more than a creative practice. In a world of disinformation, polarisation, and shrinking civic space, the ability to tell stories that land with clarity, credibility and care has never been more important.
And for organisations working on the frontlines of social change, it’s one of the most powerful tools we have.
Since the start of this year, we’ve sat in rooms with campaigners, fundraisers and policy-makers asking the same thing: how do we tell better stories?
Our answer is simple, but not easy: data and empathy. Precision and humanity. Facts that land because they’re anchored in feeling. Stories that are grounded in lived experience, and backed by evidence.
In today’s climate, where attention is short, resources are stretched, and trust is hard won, storytelling isn’t a luxury. It’s a strategic tool.

A shift in how we work.
We’re still telling stories that matter, and always will. But we’re also thinking more about the systems around them: how stories are used, who they reach, and how they live beyond a moment.
We’ve been developing tools to support that work. Practical, creative resources designed to help our peers and partners tell braver, more impactful stories. Stories that can raise funds, change minds and build solidarity. These will be launching later this year.

A new platform, a broader invitation.
Our new website reflects that shift. It’s not just a space to showcase what we’ve made, it’s an invitation to explore why we make it, and how.
Alongside our case studies and campaign work, you’ll find a space dedicated to ideas, tools and insights, all aimed at helping the wider social impact sector harness storytelling with clarity, creativity and care.
For us, storytelling has always been more than craft. It’s about connection, and it’s one of the most powerful tools we have to shape the world we want to live in.
If you’re thinking about what’s next for your storytelling, we’d love to talk.
